Hi Emily I can confirm that using bios programmer and clip that bios can be udated even if you have bricked device. I flashed my single boot to dual boot and installed android and windows and everything running great.
My device was bricked from bios bug in windows but reflashing with programmer and clip restored my tablet back to life. No issues at all. Although I did re-install windows with the official windows home iso and not the version chuwi supplied (I had big issues in windows with the chuwi version) and yes windows picked up the windows licence from the bios and activated fine) Although it took more than an hour to activate,
So yes reflash from bricked with programmer and clip works fine.
here is instuctional video to reflash bios with programmer and clip. https://youtu.be/-K8Xif-6GUw
By the way I did this over a week ago now.
I've just flashed my singleboot (201602) Hi10 to dualboot without disassembly and any tools - just use http://www.system-rescue-cd.org/ , boot from flash with HDMI monitor (internal screen not working) and use flashrom -p internal -w bios.bin
I've got a system select menu on boot, now I have to backup my WIN installation, flash both dualboot systems and restore my customized win (clean installed).
Chuwi HIbook10 CWI514 Q64G45160400492 after reinstalling android from: http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-1627-1-1.html
with "flash-no-erase-all.json" file
touch screen stopped working on android . In Windows OS touch screen is operating normally
How do I fix this problem ?
