I can't manage get to TWRP. First script gets me to fastboot where it tells me the device is already unlocked (from root on original Android I believe). The second script does it's thing (fine I think) and reboots the tablet. The third one does it's thing reboots to fastboot, loads something, restarts the tablet, I choose Android and it gets me to a black screen instead of TWRP.
Have I done something wrong? Should I use 4th script to permanently write TWRP?

PS: There is something not right in the tutorial. The SuperSU file is actually named UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76-20160630161323.rar. I had to rename it to UPDATE-SuperSU.rar after copying it to my SD card as the script was getting an error. Should get users a heads up about this.
Thanks!

There is no need to hit the power 3 time to power off the tablet. Holding it for 15 seconds is enough. I already booted back in Remix. My question was why I don't get the TWRP interface?
I posted two pictures with the results I get from the first two scripts.
What now?
Thanks!

PS: Why is there this line at the end of 4th script?
  1. fastboot flsh recovery c;\hibook\TWRP-recovery\hi12-TWRP-recovery.img
Copy the Code
It makes no sense. I think is there by mistake.

I tried the 4th script for permanent installing TWRP. I think it worked but it booted to Remix.
How can I boot to TWRP without root (the button scheme)?
Thanks!

OK. So that combination you told me seems to do something. Got it to TWRP and rooted. Also the permanent flash of TWRP seemed to work. But the black screen problem is still random, and the button combination isn't always fixing it.
Everything else working fine.
Thanks!

There are 2 ways i know of that will get you to boot to TWRP
You can install Rashr Flash Tool, from that app you can boot directely to TWRP
The other way is when booting, right after the selection screen dissaper, hold vol- down untill Fastboot comes up, there you can choose between difrente things like boot to recovery, you use vol + and - to skip through the things, and power button to select

Yes, I know. But both methots get me most of the time to a black scren instead of TWRP. I'm not using TWRP so often so it shouldn't be such an issue. Glad I have beeter touch and root on my tablet. That is important. Thanks again!

Hey folks.

Firstly, thanks Hackerjac for the post, very helpful.

However, I need some assistance. I just can't get root on my Hi12 Remix 2.0. I've tried this several times and I've finally gone through one last time to make notes on everything I've done. I've followed Hackerjac's instructions to the letter (even the rename of the  UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76-20160630161323.rar to UPDATE-SuperSU.zip). I even resinstalled the Intel USB Drives again and rebooted my PC, like a good little person.
Here's my process;

0. Flashed Remix
Enabled Developer Options
Enabled USB Debugging
Enabled OEM Factory unlock (just for good measure)

1. Ran Step 6. Copied UPDATE-SuperSU.zip to Device (SD Card this time)

2. Ran Step 8.1.Unlock_Bootloader.bat
LOCK STATE = unlocked

LOCK STATE

LOCK STATE

/Device rebooted twice
/Andy with wiggly antenea appear for 30 seconds.

WIGGLY ANDY

WIGGLY ANDY

/Device rebooted again.
/Selected Android boot.
/Remix OS Loaded. (factory reset)

3. Tried following the instructions at Step 9.2.
"Run the second script, 2.Unlock_Verity-boot.bat, that will
remove write protection from the system partition, required
for flashing mods from the custom recovery."
RESULT = FAILED.

9.2 FAIL

9.2 FAIL

4. Ran Step 9.3. (before step 9.2)
Enabled Developer Options
Enabled USB Debugging
Enabled OEM Factory unlock

5. Ran Step 9.2 again -

FAILED. Got this;
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
adbd cannot run as root in production builds
dm_verity is enabled on the system partition.
Use "adb disable-verity" to disable verity.
If you do not, remount may succeed, however, you will still not
be able to write to these volumes.
remount of system failed: Permission denied
remount failed
disable-verity only works for userdebug builds
Can be, It requires user action on the tablet screen.
If apper, confirm to turn off Verity Boot.
Press any key to continue . . .

9.2 Second Fail

9.2 Second Fail

6. Pressed any key
Device rebooted
Selected Android
Remix OS Launched.

7. What the heck -let's try Step 10.1
Booted to TWRP successfully
twrp_success.png
Selected the UPDATE-SuperSU.zip (from my SD Card - I got tired of copying it to the device everytime)
Looks good....

SUCCESS

SUCCESS

10:38pm Rebooted
Stuck on CHUWI Logo Screen

Decide to be patient.
10:50pm still on Logo Screen...
Reboot into fastboot mode
Tried a "NORMAL BOOT"
Selected Android
Now Stuck on Black Screen

seems like you forgot to read this line

Replace the boot.img in the folder you unpacked your remix files to, then flash it to your Chuwi Hi12

the boot.img is in the Hi12 tool box
