Hello, i'v bought last week a Hi10 dual OS serial: q64g42160701525.
I have a problem only with android: I couldn't modify the screen brightness level, it's always the high levell. When I move the slide, it doesn't do anything.
It works well with windows.
Can you help me?

I'm sorry, it's some time ago.

You need to download app or widget to control brightness. For example, Power Toggles.

has anyone found an easier way to get the brightness below 21 percent (most minimum setting)? I have tried the Terminal Emulator shortcut but I feel there is a more effective way. One user recommended a ZIP  flash but it didn't work for me. Anyone got a better solution ?

I've flashed the attached .zip file on all of my Chuwi devices to allow me to lower the brightness in Android and it's worked perfectly on all of them (2 HI10 Pros, Hi10 Plus and Hi12)....

Simply flash via TWRP (your device must be rooted)

vi10plus-fix-minbrightness.zip (564.07 KB, Downloads: 0)

The root problem is the back light is set for 40% brightness minimum in the BIOS. Whether it's Windows or Android it's always going to be too bright in dark rooms or outdoors at night. I told them about it months ago but no one at Chuwi listened. The minimum backlight should be set at 10 or 20% not 40% ...... The BIOS in these things are a mess and a lot of settings that shouldn't are exposed and you can brick the machine by accident
