Yesterday my HI12 arrived only 8 days after ordering it from Gearbest. Really glad I've chosen the expedited and insured shipping method because that seems to make a big difference in shipping time. Thumbs up for Gearbest. Had to pay an extra 46 euro's of customs fee but how cares?

First thing I did was to fully charge it. Took some time. About 3 hours. Next I fired it up and was a bit dissapointed by the touchscreen response and the fact that it started to update the old 1511 updates. So turned it of again and did a clean install with the compiled files made by Motobot (thnx again for that) For those who haven't come across that here's the link (http://forum.chuwi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=2019&page=4). Just follow the read me file to the letter and everything will fall into place.

Next I did Loly's touchsetting mod wich made a huge improvement in touch sensitivity. link (http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-1238-1-1.html) Also a link with the dummy "how to" on you tube (https://youtu.be/5ZNtNOGolHc)

After that i changed the ICC profile by the one made by Notebookcheck (http://www.notebookcheck.net/upl ... SUNG_20QL01_001.icm).
Also found a "how to" wich explains what you need to do to change the profile (https://pcmonitors.info/articles/using-icc-profiles-in-windows/)

I also changed the bios settings according to the instructions from Chris of techtablets (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5v3g4ZPOeQ). Did everything else shown in the film too by the way. Took a really long time for the chuwi to come back alive after that but finally it did and al was well.

On Amazon i bought a tempered glass screen protector to replace the plastic original one. Great improvement (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/prod ... 0_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Still waiting for a magnetic replacement cable for the micro usb (http://www.ebay.com/itm/18229427 ... =STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)

Also still waiting for a sleeve (http://www.ebay.com/itm/31161542 ... =STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)
and a USB wifi adapter (altough I don't really need it because wifi works fine) (http://www.ebay.com/itm/11210494 ... =STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)

Many thanks to Motobot, Act, Loly, Chris and all the other capable and enthusiastic people who inspired me and tought me the stuff needed to make this Chuwi HI12 into a really great piece of equipment.

I now downloaded DFX audio enhancer also. Makes the crappy internal speakers sound a little less crappy.

Just turned on Netflix and I have to say that there's a huge difference in the volume level. It goes really loud now. Just dload the free version. Didn't notice to much difference when using media player classic.

Hi Tonko, Did you buy the official keyboard too? I'm asking cause there's been reports that folding the tablet on the keyboard while having a glass screen protector on could/will damage the protector. So I'd be careful. Just ordered a keyboard from Gearbest myself (best price in this moment)

EDIT
I'll probably be buying slovenian/croatian stickers for the keyboard. They come in different dimensions though (11x11mm, 12x12mm and 13x13mm). Which would be the correct size for the official Hi12 keyboard? Anybody?

@yayo, I didn't buy the keyboard dock for the same reason you wrote and also because I find a keyboard to be limiting my typing experience since to dock is connected to the screen. I use a wireless Logitech K400r keyboard and that works great for me. (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Logitech ... :g:5tYAAOSwSv1Xkexc).
With this I can hang on the couch with the keyboard on my lap and the tablet standing besides me on a sidetable in a tabletholder (http://www.ebay.com/itm/40091467 ... =STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT).
Can't help you with the sizes for the keyboard.

Since I don't really trust the Usb adapter that came with the tablet I decided to buy a better quality adapter.
With this one I won't have to worry if it's going to explode

Hey, thanks for the info. My keyboard is already ordered so I guess I'll have to stick with it untill it breaks, lol. Pity though, your Logitech kb looks good and will probably outlast the Chuwi. Never give in to impulse buying is what I always repeat to myself - an advice I usually fail to follow ;)
