So does Linux run smoothly without prbolems on 15.6 lapbook too ? I heard it has some wi-fi trackpad and bluetooth problems with drivers.. I might just get the 14.1 since the cpu seems about 30% better than the 15.6 one

Have anyone had a problem with loading eMMC during linux boot?
I have tried Ubuntu 17.04 and 16.04.2

I am able to smoothly boot into live cd if I'll add modprobe.blacklist=mmc_block, but that of course makes internal MMC drivers not loaded.

As soon as I'll do "modprobe mmc_block" on live cd it starts to become slow, obviously because it tries to read the MMC.
That’s dmesg copy about this error:
https://pastebin.com/qv4jG1HX

I’m unable to lookup /dev/mmcblk1* because of Input/Output Error.

Lapbook works nice under Windows 10 so eMMC itself works.
I wonder if internal disk is somehow encrypted/protected by Windows? Any other clues?

I have the latest 2017-02-xx bios. B3W6_NA14C.026
DO NOT install Linux/Ubuntu
Linux installs and is working fine, but randomly something in the bios breaks and you can not boot your Laptop any more.
When you press the power button, the screen will not turn on, but the blue power light will turn on. If this happens, you can not turn the Laptop off any more by pressing the power button. 3 times short pressing on the power key, followed by a long press does still work to power off.
The only way to reboot the Laptop is to drain the battery by plugging in usb devices or by unplugging the battery on the mainboard.
Until Chuwi fixes the bios, do not use Linux - it can make the laptop useless at any random time.
Either that or my Laptop is broken.....

Yes, I had seen the article you posted on your website.
Installing and running ubuntu is not a problem. The problem is that the bios fails to boot at random times and that only a hard-power off is able to reset the bios.
Your bios version says 2.18.1263 .... 2016 .... on the bottom
my bios says 2.18.1263 .... 2017 .... on the bottom
My guess is that either somewhere in forgetting to change the bios revisions Chuwi screwed up, or they delivered me a broken Laptop.
did you actually shut down and restarted the laptop several times after you installed ubuntu? The bootup error is random, but consistently happens after at least a couple of days
