Hi Koko, I've tried just with the BIOS file and at least with 6 different pendrives to avoid usb problems.
All with same result, error "ROM file ROMID............".

I'm not a patient person so I finally decided to sell my chuwi lapbook with that BIOS to a friend that only want to use windows.

I've been fortunate enough to find one with BIOS B3W6_NA14C.026, with dual OS support, and finally I could install more than one linux distro on my SSD M.2.
Leave Windows in the emmc disk and install linux on SSD works in the best way so I manage to install Ubuntu, Elementary Os, Linux Mint and Manjaro, all working and performing really well.

So I don't expect a solution regarding BIOs dual Os selection for new models................

Could you please confirm that it would be enough to put the uncompressed content of the "LapBook 14.1 BIOS 20161230" folder (inside the zip) on the root of a usb key formatted in FAT32 and just let it run automatically (Startup.nsh) on system startup?
Thanks!!!

When I install this : https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/commandline/wsl/install_guide
I will get a very unstable windows10 version, and I don't want that, I also don't want Ubuntu running UNDER Windows 10, but I want to install ONLY Ubuntu on the laptop, and no Windows10. Therefore I need another BIOS, where I have the possibility to choose the operating system, windows OR Linux ...
That's all...........

Great! What should be the procedure to flash de BIOS/UEFI? It is a very delicate process and I don't want to brick the device. Thank you!!!!

Just in case anyone have the same doubts that I did...
To flash the LapBook BIOS/UEFI you have to put the contents of the uncompressed "LapBook 14.1 BIOS 20161230" folder in a FAT32 formatted usb key and restart the laptop. You can skip flashing during boot pressing some key, but if you don't, “startup.nsh” will flash automatically. It took about less than 5 minutes. With this update now I have the "OS Select" option in my UEFI and finally could test that Linux runs ok. So far I have tried Xubuntu and Linux Mint, both working ok right out of the box.
I think the option “OS Select” must be some kind of Secure Boot toggle, because in “Windows” mode I cannot run Linux, but in “Linux” mode I can run both.
Have fun!

To everyone who has trouble installing the Realtek audio driver, I have posted how to fix it in another thread: http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-3565-1-1.html

To make the touchpad pointer smoother, you can try to enable mouse acceleration in Windows settings. It's not perfect, but I found that it helps with pointer precision.
