Hello,

I have tested with default Windows camera app and skype with the same results. Bad quality image from the front camera. Only 640x480.
I see in the official specs 2MP camera, but I can not get it working at 2MP.
Is there any missed or updated driver?

Except from camera and touchpad, this laptop is great! It would be perfect if Chuwi provides fixes to these two problems.

Many thanks!

Taken from Gearbest

Notice:
The front camera of the device is 2.0MP, but Windows can only get 640 x 480 resolution due to some bugs, please use third party software to get full resolution.
I do NOT work for Chuwi. Please DO NOT pm or email me with problems you may have!

You are right,

I consider Skype is a third party software. I will check with other software as well.
I have tried to run linux from usb without success (problems with sd interface)... to check everything in other OS.

Thanks!

Hi again,

Windows 10 app, Skype and Hangouts use 640x480 @ 30fps.
Wondershare Filmora works at several resolutions, higher resolutions are: 640x480 @30fps or 1280x720 @5fps and 1600x1200 @5fps.
So it seems a 2MP camera.
But working in a wrong configuration? Maybe a bandwidth problem (hopefully no)? So some applications only work at 640x480 .

Hopefully Chuwi could release a driver to fix this.
