Is it OK to factory reset Android on a Hi12 Dual Boot z8350?

Thanks jtrosky. I just checked and my Hi12 is rooted (out of the box). Wasn't expecting that. Given it doesn't seem easy to root this device I might leave it. Malware scan only found Fota which I have disabled for now..

Hmm.. Root Checker thinks it's not rooted, Malwarebytes says it is. Seems like it's not properly rooted, but reports being rooted to some apps.

As far as I know, it should NOT be rooted from the factory....  Do you have the SuperUser app in your app drawer?  If not, then it's not rooted.

These tablets are actually pretty easy to root though, so don't let that stop you from resetting it..

RemixOS is a little harder to root, but still very rootable.  Seriously, look into RemixOS (Chuwi provides it along with Android images).

Looks like it's not rooted - Malwarebytes just reported that it was. There is no SuperUser or SuperSU apps installed.
