It seems like it wasn't "carved"/shaped entirely through like the other pins in the row. Intentional for reference of assembly? I don't know. I still haven't gotten mine to compare.

You mean there is that "funny" pin there too, or not?

You mean that "funny" pin affects connectivity with the keyboard? Or it's just a cosmetic manufacturing imperfection?

Do you have the keyboard to test? I just received the keyboard, I'll see if I can make an informed guess whether it would be a problem or not. Because I still don't have the Hi13. Until someone else does gives feedback on this.

Edit: typo.

Exactly, I think it is just a manufacturing imperfection. But I do not have the keyboard to test and thus could not state whether  the docking works or not.
Appreciate if Chuwi release a Surface or Huawei Matebook like keyboard that is less weight as the AL keyboard.
Thanks a lot and will to see your conclusion and hope you have the HI13 with you soon.

It should work as long as it makes contact, and the keyboard pins are spring loaded so they will always make contact. You should be fine

Like Techdragonz's feedback, the pogo pins from the keyboard are about 2mm in length, so the springs put quite enough force when Hi13 is docked on it.

You should have no problem in the long term because of that "funny" pin. I wonder how well those springs below the keyboard pogo pins will survive over the years.

I expect them to work fine as long as they're not damaged because of improper storage with a lot of stuff in a box or bag damaging the keyboard pogo pins. Because these are much more fragile than the flat side pogo pins of the Hi13 itself.

Edits: clarity + typos.
