Problem when booting android with screen touches

When booting up Android on my Hi10 Pro I can't seem to click anything on the screen. All the screen mappings are off centered. For example, if I click on an empty space in the screen, it selects next. If I click on the next button it does nothing. Its like the screen isn't calibrated or something. Everything works great in windows, but not android.
What can be done about this? It boots up into RemixOS 2.0 just fine, but I can't complete the setup because I can't find out where on the screen to click all the buttons.

I'm ok trying to flash something if there is a solution as well. I would prefer not to return the unit if possible. Any help would be great. Thanks.

If, as you say, Windows works properly, your problem seems to be calibrating to the screen. It is not very frequent, but an application or game may have been able to change the values.
To correct this you must download a calibration application from the Play Store, putting touch calibration on the browser.
If you do not get results you will have to reset the system to factory settings.

This is the first boot - so I haven't been able to get the android part of the tablet set up yet since it is hard (or basically impossible) to click on anything.

Try to boot by connecting a usb mouse instead of using the touch and recalibrate the touch.
If you persist the error you will have to reinstall android according to the links that you have placed sommus

Thanks Somnus! That was the problem. I was using the wrong version of the OS for the serial number. I installed the #2c one in your post (2017.03) and everything works.

Next up - trying to get Lineage OS working. When I installed Lineage 13 I had the same issue - the touchscreen was mis-aligned. I am guessing there is some mapping file in the 2017.03 Android version from Chuwi that I can add to Lineage to get that working. If anyone else has done this yet - installed Lineage OS on a Chuwi Hi10 Pro with Serial no: HQ64G42170300000 or later then please reply.. would love to try to get Lineage running on this tablet.
