It started making sizzling sounds and at some point the LED of the adapter went from red to off and the tablet doesn't charge.

I wonder anyone else have this issue?
And should I email Chuwi support for a replacement?
Or should I buy a compatible charger that's more dependable?

It seems a technical issue. You should contact service@chuwi.com

I understood that the sizzle is from the tablet

Uhm, Gajack also has a defective charger... not sure if he had your issue, xD because he just broke the plug
Don't think Chuwi will send you a new one...Best is to buy a more compact compatible charger.
I'm not weird. I'm limited edition | I'm glad to be of your service | Contact me if you need any help

Adapter was not connected to the tablet/laplet. Originally supplied Power adapter sizzled and died within a minute. Red led died sizzle stopped. Connected to the Hi13 to double check no power. Tablet never made sizzling sounds before when adapter was functional. Otherwise tablet problem in others' cases not yet mine tablet.

I will contact Chuwi eventually for a replacement power adapter. But it will be a backup if I do. Now I don't trust their power adapters. Because it exploded in 3 case did someone else's 24/7 overwork, and just died with moderate use in my case. How do I trust leaving the new backup original adapter when I receive it and wait for weeks to get it, leave it alone to charge my Hi13 under these conditions? You do see a dilemma in trust correct?

Power adapter not under warranty? I didn't break the plug. It wasn't my fault power adapter died. Gajack's issue seems related to his misuse maybe? I don't know. But I know I didn't break mine. Yes I do agree I need a better more dependable adapter and faster from Amazon somewhere. I replied to your other post about how I'll do that slowly in a few days perhaps.

Thanks to all for everyone's input.

In similar cases due to failure of the charger, brought to the attention of the seller (Gearbest) it sent a new free charger

I'll alert BG/Banggood in my case. But I won't rely on the original adapter.

I'll probably just order one.from.the UK on Techdragonz's current list. If I don't.find any other either.

Will check the new original adapter if Banggood sends one, although not quite sure what you refered to to find out how your experience took place.
