Where is the M.2 slot?

RNPGhost|Post time:Yesterday 02:16 View:274|Reply:11

Having seen some videos on how to add an M.2 SSD to a chuwi 14.1, I recently bought one. However, when I opened it up, the internals look very different to all the videos I've seen. Does anyone know what's happened, and if there is an M.2 slot on this version of the 14.1? If so, where?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

WTF? That is a totally different machine! Different PCB's, different battery, different touchpad...

Are you sure this is a Chuwi LapBook 14.1?

I see no M.2 slot here! Totally different - smaller - motherboard.

I've seen this on some other websites. I think it's a newer revision of the laptop that doesn't have a m.2 slot in it.

Just curious; what model number does it have on the back?

Because if it has the same CW1533 model number then we now have three different internals with the same model number.

The serial number of the first series started with NF L14, the second series with Z L14... what does your serial number start with?

I would say avoid this machine... there are way better notebooks such as the Tbao and Cube...

So we have three different revisions of this notebook now with all sorts of different BIOS versions and problems. What a mess.

I agree it's weird.

I'll try to get more information about that.

Seems there are around 3 hardware versions of the same laptop and 3 different BIOS versions as well. On the latest revision (3rd revision) that i have, seems there is not even any option in BIOS to enable LINUX installation either !

Same here, new Lapbook, model number: CW1533
No M.2 slot, same hardware as the photo in the first post
And I already ordered a 128GB M.2 SSD...
