I just purchase a lapbook 15.6  primarily to enable me to have a dedicated Linux laptop. I successfully booted LUBUNTU via live USB but nothing works and the bios setup does not have the option of changing os from windows to Linux. please advise on the best method to achieve this installation.

All working perfect except the audio.
But know it sees 2 cards:
alsamixer gives me only 1 audio card to choose from (INTEL HDMI/DP LPE Audio) but no chip indication.

Unity sound panel gives me 2 audio card :
HDMI/DisplayPort "Intel HDMI/DP LPE Audio" and Analog output "Intel HDMI/DP LPE Audio" but anyone sounds on the test.

Any idea for my sound?
Thanks!!

I think the Chuwi Lapbook 15.6 reqires the ES8316 driver which is currently under development so your audio issue will be fixable soon.

Did you try to select "Linux" in Os Selection which is within the BIOS?.

There is no "Linux" OS selection. only Windows 8.1 or Android.

Hello everybody.

Does anybody still have the linuxium ISOs? They have been deleted from the original site, and I don't know enough Linux to spin an ISO.

Regards

Hi emy101,

most incl. WiFi and bluetooth works fine.
Audio is not working. And the Chuwi people give a shxt about it.
The charge controller support is very poor.
You can't run the PC and charge the battery at the same time.
The battery status get reported wrong.
If you skilled enough you may be able to encourage the ALSA developer and the charge controller developer to do some work to improve the situation.
