Has anyone tried running Androind (ideally the latest one - 7.x Nougat) on an emulator in Windows 10? If so, how did it perform? Were you able to use the basic functionalities - headphones, wifi, speakers, touch screen, OTG/microSdCard, bluetooth, and screencast would be good too (along with HDMI output)?

You can try Bluestack http://www.bluestacks.com.

I tried it, working well but it's a bit slow, You can play to little game, I was able to play Clash Royale without any problem

Well, Bluestacks for me personally is really slow for playing games. Even on my older pc with an i5 processor and nVidea gtx540 graphics

But if all you want to do on it is watch movies and read books, you should be alright with it.

Hi All

I too am interested in running Android on the Hi13.
I read on another thread that Phoenix OS (which is Android based) runs via live USB. It was mentioned in this thread, in the very last post.

https://forum.chuwi.com/thread-4425-2-1.html

Does anybody know the steps for setting it up for live USB usage?

Hi, I use NOX player (https://www.bignox.com/) - the bottleneck is 4GB RAM as even Firefox alone can eat up to 2GB of RAM itself = not much left for other programs (need to kill Firefox before using NOX) ;)
Bluestacks is even more sluggish than NOX.

I have tried a few Android emulators without much success. Most run in a very small window and are very sluggish. Maximising the window made it worse. Bluestacks was probably the best but still not really useable.

I stumbled across Droid4X when I found this in a review:-

Droid 4X comes to its own on Tablet PCs so if in case you own a Windows 10 or any other Windows version tablet, Droid 4X is the best emulator to use.

I only had a quick dabble but it installs easily, runs quite smoothy and has it's own resolution settings so you can get a bigger more useable Window. You can download it from here:-

and a YouTube video:-
