I used a non-official charger on my Hi12 and then smelled something like burning plastic. Now the tablet doesn't power on at all.

I reckon that an internal part melted and needs to be replaced. Can anyone confirm my suspicions? What must I do to fix the problem

Everything that accounts suggests that the charging module of the tablet has been burned. You will need the intervention of a technician to replace it.

Hello chewy,
I think the most rational and optimal solution is to buy a new tablet.

Just out of curiosity what sort of non-official charger caused this issue?  I've used any number of 1-2amp 5VDC USB chargers with mine with no problems.  Was it some sort of higher voltage charger?
