# Bios update for Corebook X with i5 8259u

Can I get bios update for Corebook X i5 8259u with 16Gb ram?  
I’m hoping it can resolve my issue with battery not recognized on Linux. Some units work just fine but many PPL have that problem under Linux.  
I have BIOS version 2.20.1271, on yt I saw some reviewer has 2.20.1275 and on his machine battery is recognized under linux just fine.

Current BIOS:

BIOS Revision: 5.13  
Firmware Revision: 2.7  
Release Date: 11/22/2021

EC Version: EC-Ver-02.07

Linux Mint 22.3 / Ubuntu 24.04 base

The battery is completely absent from:  
/sys/class/power\_supply/

upower -e only shows:  
/org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/DisplayDevice

dmesg reports:  
ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol  
[\_SB.PCI0.LPCB.HEC.PENV], AE\_NOT\_FOUND

Could you provide the correct BIOS/EC firmware for this exact serial number that fixes the ACPI battery/DSDT issue?
