Good day. I need reset the Administrator password in BIOS auBox.
I try press and hold 15 sec the reset button, but the password still need.
If the auBox uses the Insyde BIOS, a reset may be possible simply by disconnecting the power and if there’s a system clock battery, disconnect that too, and wait about an hour.
For what it is worth, disconnecting the battery in my Minibook X N100 for about an hour allow the BIOS admin password to be reset.
No, unfortunately, neither disconnecting the battery, nor pressing and holding the Power and Reset buttons, nor short-circuiting the BIOS battery contacts works. The CHUWI AuBox is remarkably resistant to BIOS resets. I can be happy for this model and throw the PC in the trash, as I can’t use it anymore. It only remains to confirm the famous saying: A fool’s head hath no rest for his feet.
You might not have followed the correct method to remove the BIOS password.
