# Minibook X U300 higher refresh rate (60/90Hz)

Hi,

I have received the U300 variant of the Minibook X. I have updated from the N150 version to this one, but using the CRU to get the display to 60/90Hz doesn’t work as on the N150 variant. Does anyone have managed to get it higher than 50Hz, and if so, could you please share your CRU profile/config?

The laptop is on windows with a new install

I don’t have any input, but would like to ask if the U300 variant is using 50Hz display from the factory?

Yes, 50Hz panel as before, but no option to run it at 60 or 90 as before.

Because of that, I will keep my N150 variant and sell this one, really disappointed in it.

Is 50Hz really that terrible? I use my N100 variant at 50Hz and it seems fine. Not doing anything where refresh rate really matters though. Youtube and Netflix look fine. I am curious about seeing the difference and learning why the refresh rate matters.
