I’ve been using minibook 8100y(via indigogo).
I added memory & storage option, it is very perfect size & beautiful and powerful to carry anywhere. But the fan noise is too loud to using it at silent office, at home at night.
Is there any solution or update for this fan noise issue? Please kindly let us know if there is any good recommend.

Hello there, did you ever hear about a solution or figure one out for yourself? I have the same issue: a screaming fan that seems way too loud. Thanks!

It would be helpful to refer to the following link. It’s not perfect, but the symptoms are alleviated.

> Hello everyone! I made a patch to the EC firmware that turns off the fans when temperatures are low. This took me almost a week! The patch is for European EC firmware! Note that the temperatures are very bad on my machine, probably because I disassembled it, so the fans keep turning on. But they turn off eventually so at least some battery is saved! Anyway, you can roll back it at any time if you’ll experience the same. I’M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BRICKED LAPTOPS! DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! T…
