--------------------------------------------------------------- Hi8 May Download – 2016.05 (used for serial number after 421605XXXXX, change the wifi module )
I uninstalled Windows and Android in order to make a clean install of Windows 10 (single OS), but neither WIFI nor BT are working, and I have used these drivers you shared. In Device Manager, the only item with problems is the “Broadcom Serial Bus Driver over UART Bus Enumerator”, it shows a “This device cannot start. (Code 10) {Device Not Ready}” message. Is there any way to solve this issue, any BIOS setting or anything like that?
Hei man,you have to install the right bios ! you installed the May bios thinking it’s just a newer version but it is not. The new bios(from May) is for realtek bluetooth. The first bios(the good one) is for broadcom bluetooth! Also make sure after you install your correct bios, choose inside the bios(SCU button) at Boot so that your main bootOS is Windows.
Thanks for your reply. I applied the 03/2016 update, in the BIOS interface its build date is 03/28/2016 (build time is 16:50:08), InsydeH20 version: H1D_S806_207. Under Advanced, Boot Configuration, the WiFi and Bluetooth adapters are shown as “Realtek RGN RTL8723BS”. I guess this is wrong, since the adapter is actually a Broadcom. The serial number of my Chuwi Hi8 is Q32G22160504242. I don’t remember to have applied the May update, since the serial number is not compatible.
I have been trying other operating systems, as Android x86 (from 5.0 to 9.0) and had problems with all, especially because the Wireless adapter doesn’t work (WiFi and Bluetooth). I went back to Windows 10 and Wireless adapter still didn’t work, I tried everything. I flashed the official Android rom (4.4.4) and Bluetooth is working, but WiFi isn’t. It’s being a pain trying to make it work, and it’s really bad Chuwi doesn’t upgrade firmware for their devices, a very low point.
Hi,
I would like to know two things about the image:
-What versión of Android is?
-What happend with Windows If I flash the image the file flash .xml? Chuwi will be a Dual System or only Android?
I have Chuwi Hi8. Bought it a long time ago. The operational system is Windows 10 (which I use) and Android 4.4 (which is too old). Is it possible to run android 9 or 10 in it and still have dual boot with Windows 10? If yes, is there any tutorial on how to do it? Thank you.
That would be great. I’m experimenting to install the latest Ubuntu on my tablet after a broken Windows update, however I’m having hard time to figure out which drivers do I actually need. The only thing I managed to get working (apart from booting into to GUI) is the Wifi.
I failed to make the touchscreen working despite I think I’ve done everything properly. The funny thing is I failed to make it work on Windows as well. It looks like not all the Chuwi HI8 are created equally, some of them have different hardware.
Hello, Could you please give all the drivers for the chuwi cw1513, I have tried with these, and do not work, the screen detects me as if I had a small screen. The code of the tablet is PQ32G22170803643. For windows.Thank you very much
