I followed this document:

https://androidmtk.com/flash-sto ... el-phone-flash-tool

Picked the "flash-no-erase-all.json" that $tef referenced.

Make sure you install the intel USB driver.  It would not recognize my tablet until i powered it on and turned on oem unlocking.

Mine sat at the same screen as redler, but had a status of updating  on the bottom of the screen with a byte count until completion.

Android has been great for me has been on for 20 hours now and comes out of sleep fine.

Mi might actually be satisfied with my Hi8 Pro.

It's so simple...but I am stupid. I chose "recovery"
How I can add Windows 10 to my tablet PC?
PS A
I have downloaded all stuff that Emily put up in DropBox, now is there a tutorial telling me how to proceed with flashing the dual os Hi8 Pro - Android 5.1 and Win 10 ?
Has any one tried that and been successful ?

If you download the ROM 2 from
http://www.needrom.com/download/chuwi-hi8-pro-dual-os/
you can flash windows 10. The zip include tutorials, you need to flash Android first and then Windows.
If you want the last firmware download Android from this thread.

05/20/16 19:04:46.800  INFO   :  Start flashing the flash configuration with pos start state for EMM ...

Hey,

I had the same problem. Then I just let the device boot into android safe mode and initialized flashing through intel® Phone Flash Tool. Flashing were done in 2 minutes. Then the device restarted and I just quickly chose Android boot (via volume key) after approx. 3 minutes the android loaded and updated all my installed apps (another few minutes). Now I am fully updated with working dual boot. Maybe this will help to someone.

Does it solves an issue with the screen?
Mine started flickering half screen, and it finally went black. Now I have only half of screen working even when I switch it on. It shows VI instead of CHUWI.

Hello, I have a Hi8 Pro with the following serial number PQ32G221****4215 with BIOS version C806_LT80B.10T dated 12/31/2015 16:39:40
This system came with only with Windows 10.

Now the reason that I'm asking is that my serial number is similar to some of the partial serials listed in people signatures.

Also, if I boot into the BIOS & go to the 'Save & Exit' menu, change the 'SHOW ALL ITEM' option to 'Enabled', and go to the 'Advanced' menu, an 'Android' option is now available.

In this menu screen I have the following options & settings:

IA_APPS_RUN  = 3400
IA_APPS_CAP = 0
USE IA_APPS_RUN or CAP = [IA_APPS_RUN]
Boot on invalid battery = [Enabled]
Modem Selection [7262_ES2XX_SSIC]

Silent Lake Feature Configuration
Silent Lake [Disabled]

Does this mean I have a DUAL Boot BIOS already?

Thanks
Adam

As found on http://techtablets.com/forum/top ... /page/4/#post-38129
1. Get an empty USB thumb drive.
2. Format USB drive FAT32, name it WINPE
3. Extract all files and then Copy all the files from the BIOS .rar onto the USB drive. Your USB drive should look like the picture below all files at the root directory.

If your BIOS is already set to boot USB thumb drive as 1st prioroty, then the deivce will go directly to step 5 automatically
4. Boot into BIOS boot manager using F7 key
5. Select and Boot the USB thumb drive
6. New BIOS will be flashed
7. Remove the USB drive once BIOS flash is complete. If you leave it in, then BIOS will be flashed again on boot.

New bios for dual OS Chuwi Hi 12  (pass: en.chuwi.com)

These instruction also work seem to be working with the Hi8 pro bios

Update:  Spoke too soon.  Booted up android fine, but not waking from sleep still.  It seemed to be updating the bios but will try reflashing with the android file.
