This tutorial is for an HI10 plus. What rom I have to use with my VI8 plus? Has someone done it with a modern vi8 plus and has it worked?

Before modifying operating systems, we recommend making a backup of the current state of your tablet.

Need the official Android Rom for your tablet, you can order it at this thread indicating the serial number of the equipment.

Then you have to delete the dual start menu of the tablet, for this you start Windows.
- You run the SwitchNOW application from the shortcut on the Windows desktop.
-You click on No when the question pops up Are you sure to switch to Android?
-Select disable.
-Reinit and check that the dual start menu does not come out.

Now you have to modify the original Rom to repartition the memory of the tablet when flahear the Rom.

This gpt.bin file decompresses it and has to replace it with the one inside the original Rom of Android. Therefore, unzip the Rom file, copy this modified gpt.bin file and place it inside the selected Rom replacement folder.

Well, with this be ready the Rom to flash.
Install on your computer if you do not have the program yet Phone Flash Tool

Start the program and look for the route of the ROM of the tablet already prepared to flash Select the flash.json file

Tablet turned off we will press the three buttons at the same time without releasing them until we skip MODE DNXFASTBOlOT on the screen.

We connect the tablet to the computer, mark the recover box and click to flash, in a few minutes this shows the rom on the tablet and automatically restarts.

This modified gpt.bin file is used for 32Gb dual-boot tablets with which it is possible to give all the space available for Android.

Hi there! I bought the Vi8 Plus because I had read its display would run at 50Hz (which is important for Amiga- and C64-emulation). But turns out it runs at 60Hz.
Custom resolutions in Windows 10 (through Intel settings) don't get accepted, e.g. 1280x800 @50Hz results in "exceeds bandwidth" although it natively runs at 1280x800 @60Hz (which surely needs more bandwidth...).
The tool CRU.exe also doesn't do anything.

Is there a firmware, bios or drivers update that makes the Vi8 Plus run at 50Hz in Windows?
