Can you also provide Android/Windows x64 ROMs + BIOS for this device?

This is my problem also. We dont have support for 1608 - d4d6 bios - win10x64.

I was able to boot from x86 image of win 10 posted here (by changing in \EFI\Boot bootia32.efi with bootx64.efi from genuine windows10x64 image ) but script is not starting. I dont have the knowledge to modify Main.cmd in Scripts for it to work on x64. Chuwi team, do your job.

Here is the gdrive ink for image of win10x86 posted at the beginning of this thread

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B808JSDaqwWvbUkzejd6VWxOWmc

I also have a request for someone with 1608 - d4d6 bios - dual os tablet to post the partition table, I have made some attempts to install windows and I have some partitions that I think I can delete, but I am not sure so i want to compare with someone partition table.

To do this, from windows run cmd as admin.

type this command one by one then press enter:

diskpart <press enter>
list disk <presss enter>
select disk 0 <press enter>
list partition <press enter>
list volume <press enter>

now copy all the details by doing these steps:

ctrl+a
ctrl+c

then create a textfile and save it there..

and sent it to tmc_tudor@yahoo.com

(thanks Ian for this method)

I want to make this device Android only. I tried to format windows partition, but is not visible in android. Do someone know how to make this partion visible in Android. Or could i move the small partitions behind android to the end and resize android partition?

Still waiting on someone to verify if these files work on a single boot CW1519 SN#1512.
Hate to brick the device from installing incompatible bios, simple yes or no would be great.

This is my problem also. We dont have support for 1608 - d4d6 bios - win10x64.

I was able to boot ...

hey! sorry for the delay. after so many days of trial and error, i figure (probably) out why.
so heres your question

q: why cant i install x86/32bit windows on my vi8+ with d4d6 bios?
a: although the processor of vi8+ supports both x32 & x64, bios is responsible for stopping you from installing x32bit if you have d4d6 bios. unfortunately the d2d3 bios, also, cannot install x64bit. so it means d2d3 is for x32bit, and d4d6 is x64bit. SO THE MAIN ISSUE HERE IS THE BIOS.

THE ONLY WAY TO INSTAL x32bit WINDOWS IS TO FLASH THE D2D3 BIOS VERSION. but backup your current bios first just incase something will go wrong after flashing d2d3. (probably by now a friend message you the right tool for bios backup.)

:
i am pretty sure american megatrends (the bios manufacturer) modify d2d3 bios to prevent installing x64bit, its so obvious because there is an option for (x64 & ia32)... when i chose x64 and try installing x32bit, i fail so this means x64bit windows is the right image. but when i manually input from the script all the necessary command to install x64bit, i successfully install it but sadly, i CANNOT boot from it. (it says your processor is not capable of running x64biit app..etc blah blah blah!)

So with these files, it's possible to convert a singleboot tablet to a dualboot one ?

not with the files emily provided. im still working on converting single to dual, and fortunately im done with converting dual to single. before i post any tutorial i need an approval from admin and emily, but no reply from them til now. lets just wait a bit more for their reply and see what happens..

I guess you can use my double driver  ...

this will only give you bluescreen.
installing drivers from within windows using this custom image will only give you a problem.
try integrating all drivers necessary from its wim file (install.wim) before installing windows. this will help you avoid getting bluescreen.

Hello Ian, this I know that d2d3 bios is for x86 and d4d6 bios is for x64.

My options are:

to install winx86 need to flash bios to d2d3 but I dont want because I might not find all the drivers, as  ibicer1980 said d4d6 use different hardware for wifi and he has a lot of problems after has done that.

to install winx64 need a bootable image from chuwi, Emily's post contains only x86 image. As I said I was able to boot from x86 image of win 10 posted here (by changing in \EFI\Boot bootia32.efi with bootx64.efi from genuine windows10x64 image ) but script is not starting. I dont have the knowledge to modify Main.cmd in Scripts for it to work on x64.  But chuwi does nothing..how hard is to post what they are using so that we can repair their products.

Hope their support will come...this year.

Indeed that windows provided in this forum contains bootia32.efi.  Does this mean anyone with newer Vi8+ serial 1608XXX running 64bit windows will not be able to use Windows code provided here?  I am going to reflash my Vi8+ with Android and Windows and perhaps resize the partition so that there is a bit more than 16GB room on the windows partition.

This is what I see from windows provided by Chuwi. [Vi8 Plus Dualboot Windows.zip]
EFI\Boot\en-us\bootia32.efi.mui

I tried and is not booting from image posted from Emily. Is for D2D3 bios witch use win10x86.
Changing in \EFI\Boot bootia32.efi with bootx64.efi from genuine windows10x64 image is booting but script is not starting (Main.cmd). For D4D6 bios we will need different image of win10x64. Emily said that they dont have a image.
