Hi
Third post in one day.
I have had a lot to do with windows but know nothing about ANdroooiid, can't even spell it.
The first thing I do with a new laptop is to clone the hard disk, with windows I can do this in my sleep, the Chuwi is a lot more challenging.
I've noticed there are 15 partitions, why so many???
I would prefer to clone all the partitions using windows, can someone suggest a imaging/cloning program to do this, to an external sata hdd via the otg usb port.
Once done is it possible to boot from this device to test the clone.
Thanks again,
gazza

Hello,

There are several programs to make a backup of the team, the most talked about by the forum:

https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree

http://clonezilla.org/

There are 15 partitions because the tablet has a double operating system.

Personally, only macrium is used and once the image of the disk is created it is saved in a pendrive formatted in ExFAT so that it all comes out in a single file (Once created, it can be transferred to any other storage medium.).
Then you can restore the computer with the creation of a rescue disk from the Macrium itself or by loading the restoration menu at the start of the computer to boot from the pendrive and restore the tablet. I think it is not possible to start to buy the Clone with this program.

Hello,
Thank you so much for replying to my 3 posts, accurate and to the point. Thanks for pointing out the different usb connectors, more research needed.
I'm in the process of down loading Macrium and the clonezilla, once I prepare a clone then a rescue disk how do I boot from one of the usb ports. Assuming there is no os what so ever and the Chuwi is a brick can I get to the bios or function key to select a boot path for the booting of the rescue usb??

Thanks again

Macrium makes a backup of the current state of your computer.

-If the computer does not turn on, To boot from a USB you have to place inside a USB the rescue disk that generates Macrium + the image of the created disk, which will be restored.

-If the equipment turns on: there is a simpler process to boot from the usb once Macriun is installed, in the Other Tasks section, add Recovery Boot Menu Option, Windows PE 10.0 (32 Bits) can generate a menu that requires
the download of 500 mg to then have available at the start of the team always access to the rescue of the team. (Restart the computer and check it)

You do not always have to enter the bios to give preferences to the usb as the computer boot, but to make sure you can check it today and give preference to the usb as the computer boot. If all goes well with the tablet turned off, USB connected, press F7 repeatedly starts from the external device.
