I restarted my tablet to factory settings and it asks me for the PIN code which I don’t have.
if it’s an android device, resetting should have removed your pin. i hope you setup your pin yourself with a google account, then these options are available:
If you’ve forgotten your Android device’s PIN, there are several methods to help you regain access:
- Factory Reset: This method will erase all data on your device, so use it as a last resort. To perform a factory reset:
- Boot your device into Recovery mode (check your device’s manual or manufacturer’s website for specific instructions).
- Select “Wipe data/factory reset” and confirm.
- Your device will be restored to its factory settings, and you’ll need to set up a new PIN or password.
- Forgot PIN Option: If your device is running Android 4.4 or later, you may have the “Forgot PIN” option available:
- Go to the lock screen and enter an incorrect PIN five times.
- Your device will prompt you to select “Forgot PIN.”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your PIN using your Google account credentials.
- Use Find My Device: If you’ve enabled Find My Device on your Android device, you can use it to remotely reset your PIN:
- Sign in to your Google account on another device.
- Go to the Find My Device website or use the Find My Device app.
- Select your device and choose “Lock” or “Reset lock screen PIN.”
- Follow the prompts to reset your PIN.
I bought it second-hand and I don’t have access to the account with which it was set up the first time. I already factory reset it several times and it keeps asking for the pin code. What else can I do?
