Firmware request for HiPad XPro (Unisoc T616), forgotten screen-lock PIN

Hello Chuwi team,

I have a HiPad XPro (Unisoc T616) stuck on the lock screen. The screen-lock PIN was forgotten and it now has too many failed attempts. As your staff have explained in other threads, this model cannot be hard-reset with the button combination (Power + Volume Up just boots normally), so I need to reflash the stock firmware to factory-reset it.

Could you please provide:

  • The correct stock firmware (.pac) for my unit / batch,
  • The ResearchDownload / SPD Upgrade Tool, and
  • The Unisoc USB drivers.

My serial number (read from inside the SIM tray) is:

ZHIPXPEY0023030_08

The engraving is worn near the end (the digit before the last “08” is hard to read). I guess that it can be a 3 or a 6, but I am not sure.

Thank you very much for your help.

As far as I know, this is a user forum; Chuwi support doesn’t monitor it.

So you don’t forget the PIN: write it down and save it somewhere.

You can contact support through the Chuwi website.

thanks for your wisdom. I’ve seen other messages like this in the forum and so I am asking

In case it helps anybody, I sent this same message to service@chuwi.com and they kindly answered this:

Please try the following steps:
1.Power off the device and wait for a few seconds.
2.Press and hold the Power button for about 1–2 seconds, then immediately press and hold the Volume Down button.
3.When the logo appears, release the Power button but keep holding the Volume Down button.
4.Continue holding until the device enters Recovery Mode.
5.In Recovery Mode, use the Volume Up/Down keys to navigate to “Wipe Data/Factory Reset.”
6.Press the Power button to confirm. Once completed, the device will reboot automatically.

Fortunately following the exact instructions allowed me to enter recovery mode.
