Firmware update needed,

Hi, I need to update the firmware urgently because windows security boot certificate expires. How. do I do this?

Also all of a sudden I can’t get into UEFI. Can anyone help?

My devise is ETBookSE

Thanks,

Sasha

What version of Windows do you have ?

What firmware do you want to update ?
Which security certificate expires ?

Which key do you press to enter the BIOS: Esc or Del ?

Windows11
microsoft windows uefi CA2023 security boot certificate
chuwi firmware my device is ETBookSE

F2, I never had issues getting into BIOS/UEFI before.

As far as I know, I’ve never had to update a Windows security certificate. I go into Windows Update or advanced options, optional updates, and check.

Where or how does the notification appear ?

I access it with the Esc key.

If you press F12, you enter the boot selection screen and have an option to enter the BIOS.

Hi, I can’t change the firmware update in UEFI because I need a firmware update from chuwi that includes also the new windows11 certificate to update.

Did your computer have Windows 10 when you bought it ?

Have you installed the Windows updates ?

Your computer may have a virus or security problem ?

You can ask: Chuwi customer support: service@chuwi.com

No, I bought my laptop about 8 month ago with windows11 already installed.

Yes I did windowsupdate regularily.

I am using linux

As long as chuwi does not update the firmware, windows11 will not be able to update. Also I can’t update it in uefi as long as chuwi did not update the firmware. I have already written chuwi support a few weeks ago and was only told that it has been send to the IT deparment. Since then I have nothing heard from them.

We’re talking about this certificate:
Since it’s from Microsoft, you should ask Microsoft.

Now you’re adding that you use Linux. You use dual boot

So which system are you having problems with ?
You know that Chuwi doesn’t support Linux.

I have no idea if you know how to install a dual system
