Just as it says-
I know the documentation says “up to 1TB” but can we drop in a 8TB m2?
Thanks!

The motherboard will not support it unfortunately
What is the maximim allowed size of m2 SSD for Chuwi Minibook X supported by motherboard?
The maximum is 1 TB
So if I put a 4tb single sided SSD in it would not work?
no, the total is 1Tb
Thank you appreciate the reply!
Support if it IS supported by the motherboard why are you misleading us?
@Alexapple Well, I am sorry if it seems so, but when customers ask these kind of things, we confirm them with tech and that is the answer we got 1TB. So i will tell them about this, because is possible maybe they do not even know, the motherboard is designer to only support 1TB.
Sorry misleading is probably poor wording - i am sure there is a reason for this in documentation- perhaps thermal concerns?
I guess it could be that issue, normally they will recommend something less, to prevent future issues.
My disk does not heat up above 50ºC under heavy load…
Thank you! Seems like there is a miscommunication here or perhaps another reason for the 1tb recommendation.
Sadly I returned my unit - was lovely build quality was top notch - but I wanted something I could carry all my files on.
Ended up picking up a 2nd hand GPD Win Max 2.
