Is there a setting in the BIOS for recovery when AC power is lost (PC auto-starts when power is applied)?

Chipset â PCH-IO Configuration â State After G3: S5 State
I donât have this device but thatâs where it is on CoreBook X, and in AMI BIOS in general. Assuming you donât want it to start automatically, choose S5 there.
Thank you
Iâll try it after work.
And? Whatâs the result?
Chipset â PCH-IO Configuration - checked - there is no such or similar item.
As I said, I donât have this exact device but thatâs the name for the setting responsible for this, and it should be there somewhere, possibly in another submenu.
If you canât find it and donât want to go through all the menus looking for it, alternatively you can dump your BIOS and extract the IFR data using a tool such as this:
Then youâll have a text file listing all the settings, which can be searched for the keyword.
Of course maybe someone who has this device can chip in and provide a better answer but thatâs the best I can do.
Bios > Boot > Oem Entend Setup > Auto Power On
If your PC turns on automatically when power is applied, itâs likely due to a BIOS/UEFI setting like âRestore on AC Power Lossâ or âPower On After Power Failure.â You can disable this in the BIOS menu. If youâre unsure how to access or adjust the setting, ChatGPT Gratis can guide you step by step based on your motherboard model.
