Ubox 6600H won’t power on after shutdown unless unplug replug

Hello everyone,

I just bought a Chuwi UBox with a Ryzen 5 6600H, 16GB DDR5 and a 512GB NVMe SSD.

I have a serious problem with power management:

• When I shut down (in Windows 11 and Ubuntu), the machine shuts down correctly (the power light turns off).

• But when I press the power button to turn it back on, the LED lights up but nothing happens: no display, no BIOS/GRUB, just a black screen.

• The only way to restart it is to physically unplug the power adapter and plug it back in. Then it boots normally and I can see GRUB/Windows booting.

This therefore does not seem to be linked to the operating system (same behavior under Windows and Linux). This looks like a BIOS/firmware or hardware issue.

Has anyone else with the UBox experienced the same problem?

Is there a BIOS update or workaround? Or should I just return the device under warranty?

Thanks in advance for any help

Hello.

The same thing happened before installing Ubuntu.

You can check all the cables and connectors, it may be a false contact.

You can ask where you bought it.
