Model 4900H RzBox - Serial ZRZBOXGY1h21100175
Acquired on Chuwi.com at release date
Have my RzBox 4900H for a while and everything was running fine.
Yesterday suddenly, the system shut down in the middle of work, and now I can’t even reach bios, only dark silent and no boot signals.
Led turn on if I press power
The fan spin and I’ve checked that it is connected (and keeps spinning)
No video signal or boot
I’ve tried to disconnect the RAM banks, and disconnect m2 … nothing seems to work, any idea of something I can try?
Hey, never had that exact mini-pc, but usually they have a BIOS-RESET button you can press trough a hole on the side and sticking something in it, or by opening the PC. If no button is there try and remove the CMOS battery while PC is unplugged from power and wait ~10s, plug it back in and return the battery and see if anything diffrent.
There is an option of pressing the powet button while its off the power and then again after connecting it back to power just to drain any power that is left in it.
Also other option is totry booting it without the NVME-SSD. If the controller died it can cause POST to fail.
Lastly try just letting it sit for a day in and then try plugging it back. Somethimes they just need some rest.
Tried with CMOS unplugged, but nothing changed.
Tried all combinations with M2 and RAM ( one, none, all, different slot ) but don’t boot, I still have no signal video and am unable even to reach the BIOS.
I’m now leaving without power for the day, if someone have other idea or know what’s happening please comment.
How can I install this from windows if the system doesn’t boot? (I can’t reach even bios)
Is there a way to put the patch in USB and install it automatically ?
There is a way but it’s quite complicated and requiers equipment beforehand. You would need a BIOS flasher which you can buy on ae for <10€ and a working windows (or linux) machine. Then you would need to open your PC and flash the BIOS image directly to the BIOS chip on the motherboard.
It’s messy and complicated, but if PC is dead and wont even POST it’s the last option (IF THE PROBLEM IS IN BIOS)
I remember AMI motherboards can directly flash BIOS from USB if you call bios file in a certain way, do we know is there is possibility to put the BIOS in a USB key and flash from there automatically ?
