Wrong L3 cache in Corebook X 7430U

CPU-Z shows that only 8Mb of L3 cache exists (2x4) however per AMD specs, there should be 16mb of L3 cache.

what is the cause for this trouble?

is there a way to update the BIOS?

Same here (and it seems other users, Reddit - The heart of the internet ).

I don’t know why this post is flaged (maybe they want to hide this issue?)

CHUWI should just be upfront about the issue. It’s not a good look to try and ignore their users legitimate questions.

I checked the Chuwi settings and didn’t see where it says 16 MB of cache.

It is possible that there are two configurations of the same model.

Which brand are you referring to?

It’s possible that the AMD processor or motherboard has several configurations.

Updating the BIOS (software) will not change the hardware configuration

No, the CPU is not the one they claim it is. It’s a generation older with half the L3 cache. That’s bad. That’s deceptive marketing. Why would CHUWI do that?

What a way to burn customer confidence.

If it’s an older generation, you should look for the original model page or the device specifications.
It’s possible that CPU-Z doesn’t have the correct data.

In the two uploaded images, I don’t see any information from the Chuwi website.

From my point of view, there’s no misleading marketing.

No, it’s not a CPU-Z problem. You get the same info no matter the tool you use. Even in linux the information is the same. There is no AMD Ryzen 5 7430U that is Lucienne series with 8MB L3 cache. This one is an AMD Ryzen 5 5500U with altered firmware to change the name and make it look like something it’s not.

So what? Are you implying @AReS is posting fake screenshots? Do you want me posting the info from linux?

Well, that’s a you problem. If CHUWI claims to sell AMD Ryzen 5 7430U then they should sell AMD Ryzen 5 7430U.

Ryzen 5 5500U with edited firmware to say something different is the exact definition of misleading marketing, probably in the scam territory.

What a weird hill to die on, buddy.

I also agree that is in the scam territory with the altered firmware!

Moreover, I bought it from the EU official shop, and they have not answered any of the e-mails I sent to them.

I know it was quite cheap, but if they tell you that it is an AMD Ryzen 5 7430U, this is what they must give to you.

Sure buddy:

Shame on those who still try to run cover for Chuwi so they can continue scamming their customers.

I repeat, I’m answering based on my knowledge; I’m not trying to cover anything up.

I bought a Chuwi mini PC, and the configuration it has is the one listed in the specifications.

If you buy a device that does not have the configuration specified on the sales page, you must return it.

You can upload a screenshot of CPU-Z from your computer. !!!

So you don’t have anything of value to add to the conversation but still decided to intervene with your useless perspective, trying to cast doubt on the very real issue of CHUWI scamming their customers even when you own a different, completely unrelated model.

What’s the point of you buddy?

Do you have this computer model ?
Since you haven’t uploaded a screenshot, I assume you don’t have this computer !!!
So you’re in the same situation as me.

I do have this model but, more importantly, I don’t need to prove anything to you.

Don’t feed the trolls.
