If it possible to enable PCIe Resizable BAR function in BIOS?
My configuration meets all the requirements to enable AMD SmartAccess Memory. Everything is enabled in the bios except for the ReBAR feature, because there is no such menu item. Is there a newer BIOS that can enable this?
Ok, i found the “above 4G” option in the advanced Bios. But still the new Bios file with activated resizable BAR would be great. I also wrote Chuwi support but no answer since a week.
Hello, still absolutely ZERO feedback from support. I think I will have to sell the Aubox and get something from another brand where I can use all the ports as intended. I have to say, I owned a large number of computers in my years but never had such problems with using standard peripherals on ports like an M.2.
I contacted Chuwi support under the same service email address and within 3 days received an answer –> “Sorry there is no BIOS update available”.
Something is not right. Either there is or there is not. Maybe there are different hardware versions of this box with 8745HS available with different BIOS versions. Mine is the newer version with the OCuLink port at the back.
Yeah, thats odd. The OP (@Croraykin ) also seems to have the new version with built in Oculink. I do not know whats going on here.
I have a little update on my eGPU setup. A Nvidia 3060 does work with the second M.2 to Oculink Adapter I bought (Beast Oculink from Aliexpress). As Nvidia cards do not rely on reBar, this setup would be OK. But I have an Intel B580 here, which is not even detected. For Intel cards activated reBar is a must. So if a Bios with activated reBar would surface, I would be more than happy.
Oh, still no word from Chuwi support. In the meantime I also wrote them via their online contact form. Nothing.
