AuBox AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS Bios (ReBAR) how to enable

Hi!

If it possible to enable PCIe Resizable BAR function in BIOS?

My configuration meets all the requirements to enable AMD SmartAccess Memory. Everything is enabled in the bios except for the ReBAR feature, because there is no such menu item. Is there a newer BIOS that can enable this?

My configuration:

Chuwi AuBox AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS (Official OCULink version), 32GB DDR5-5600MHz RAM, Samsung EVO Plus 990 1TB SSD, Aoostar AG02 eGPU docker, ASRock AMD Radeon RX9060 XT 16GB Challenger OC

It’s at your own risk; I have no idea if the Cuwi components allow it.

Do you know how to access the BIOS with advanced configuration options? You can search for it on Google.

Hi!

Yes, I know how to access to advanced Bios configuration options, but the ReBAR function missing. Only the “Above 4g Decode” function is visible.

Thanks!

I think they’re different things.

But I don’t think the hardware supports it.
You can ask Chuwi support.

Chuwi Support provided a new bios file. In this, the resizable bar function is enabled and it works perfectly.

Hello! Could you tell us where to enable the “Above 4G” option and forward the new Bios file? That would really help me out!

Hello, any chance to receive the Bios file as well? I have added a M.2 Oculink Adapter myself but it is not working.

You can ask Chuwi support.

Yes, I know, thanks. I did that. No reply till now.

Ok, i found the “above 4G” option in the advanced Bios. But still the new Bios file with activated resizable BAR would be great. I also wrote Chuwi support but no answer since a week.

Hello, still absolutely ZERO feedback from support. I think I will have to sell the Aubox and get something from another brand where I can use all the ports as intended. I have to say, I owned a large number of computers in my years but never had such problems with using standard peripherals on ports like an M.2.

Which email address did you write to ?

service@chuwi.com

I contacted Chuwi support under the same service email address and within 3 days received an answer –> “Sorry there is no BIOS update available”.

Something is not right. Either there is or there is not. Maybe there are different hardware versions of this box with 8745HS available with different BIOS versions. Mine is the newer version with the OCuLink port at the back.

Yeah, thats odd. The OP (@Croraykin ) also seems to have the new version with built in Oculink. I do not know whats going on here.

I have a little update on my eGPU setup. A Nvidia 3060 does work with the second M.2 to Oculink Adapter I bought (Beast Oculink from Aliexpress). As Nvidia cards do not rely on reBar, this setup would be OK. But I have an Intel B580 here, which is not even detected. For Intel cards activated reBar is a must. So if a Bios with activated reBar would surface, I would be more than happy.

Oh, still no word from Chuwi support. In the meantime I also wrote them via their online contact form. Nothing.
