AuBox Ryzen 9 6900HX Bios Update

Hello.

I’m asking for your help in providing me with an updated BIOS for my recently purchased AUBOX RYZEN 9 6900HX.

The reason is none other than the AMD Adrenaline Software overrides the factory BIOS settings regarding RAM allocation to the integrated 680M IGPU.

This is due to a lack of BIOS updates because I have other mini PCs from other brands with the same features, and they do allow me to set the size I want from the BIOS.

If they don’t update it, I’ll have to return the product because I don’t want a mini PC with only 512 MB of GPU capacity, even though the BIOS allows me to change the size up to 16 GB. However, I can’t apply this because the BIOS isn’t updated and is controlled by AMD’s Adrenaline Software, which only leaves it at 512 MB no matter how many times I change it from the BIOS.

Greetings and thank you.

Is a very new product . updating the Bios is very costly, and so far the computer does not have issues. Is working fine.

We apologize.

What you’re saying is completely false.

1st… Chuwi doesn’t make BIOSes because it’s a brand that sells products that others manufacture under its name.

2nd… The problem with the BIOS is that it’s disabled, and we can’t control parameters like assigning the VRam we want to assign to the iGPU.

It’s so disabled in that regard that it only allows you to change the VRam size, but not the parameter that specifies what Windows is forced to do.

Therefore, the BIOS setting for changing the VRam size is FAKE and doesn’t do anything because it will always be controlled by AMD drivers, since the BIOS is set to AUTOMATIC.

Since the BIOS is disabled, you can’t disable this automatic setting. However, the BIOS is lying by believing that you can change the size, when it’s completely false.

If all you’re doing is helping, turn it off and let’s go.

For my part, I have already returned the product and I will never again recommend the Chuwi brand on my channels.

In short, there’s a problem with the BIOS because no matter how much VRAM we set in the BIOS, that VRAM will never appear in Windows because it will be controlled by the AMD Engine drivers.

If you have 16 GB of RAM, it will allocate 512 MB in performance mode and 2 GB in game mode.

And if you install 32 GB, it will double that amount but will never use the amount assigned in the BIOS.

And as I said, this is because the BIOS is locked, and you can’t disable the automatic option because it’s locked so that parameter can’t be modified.

I repeat, you have a problem there, and you won’t do anything.
