Hallo, I have a problem with my Chuwi Hi10 XR N4120 Windows Detachable.
A few months ago, the old battery swelled up, so I removed it. I then used the Chuwi for several months by connecting it to the power cable (without battery). That worked very well so far.
Now I have ordered and installed a new battery. The first start with the new battery went great. Unfortunately, there is no response when I connect the charging cable to the USB-C port. Neither the red light comes on nor does the charging progress increase.
What I have already tried:
- Remove the battery again and run the Chuwi on power cable only – this no longer works either
- Other chargers with 12V to USB-C (USB trigger) and a standard 12V AC/DC power supply with barrel jack to USB adapter – this doesn’t work either
- Test whether the USB-C ports are working: Yes, they are working and USB-sticks are recognized by both USB-C ports
- Run both Windows and Ubuntu Linux
I’m not sure whether the USB-C charging port was able to recognize USB sticks before. Perhaps a mode changed when the battery was replaced, so that the USB charging port was converted to a USB data port? Maybe a BIOS setting would help?
