Gemibook Plus N100 16GB/512GB - Advice change of OS and Battery change

Hello, I just bought this laptop (Gemibook Plus N100 16GB/512Gb) and it comes with Windows 11 home.

I was wondering whether I can install Windows 11 pro or Windows 10 pro. I prefer those versions better as they are more complete than the “home version”.

Is it worth it so I do not get problems with the drivers after installing a different windows version? Will everything work? Will it be as smooth as Windows 11 home?

I have backed up all the drivers and I am thinking of cloning the image of the SSD so if something wrong happens, .. I can go back to where I was.

Another question:

Is it possible to change its battery to a bigger capacity? I can tell that the battery does not last very long, almost 3 hours, and for a day out at work I wish it could last at least 5 or 6 hours.

Thanks in advance. :folded_hands:

Hi, I have the exact same model. Did you have any issues with sound when you turned it on? Does it maybe need drivers? I opened mine yesterday and it has no sound.

Hello Nagini,

Well, glad to hear someone has the exact same model. Well as far as I can tell, no sounds problem on my side, but there is a little issue with it. It seems that when I connect my bluetooth earphones it DOES say “connected” but the sound does not go through, it seems that it takes a while and then I can hear the sound (music or whatever) through the earphones. A bit strange, not very annoying but it can get on your nerves sometimes.
