How to switch F keys bu default?
Anybody read this messages?
Hmm… Really? Nobody from support here?
Please describe the problem fully.
How to do like on another laptops: by default works F keys (F1-F12) and change volume / brightness with Fn + key.
Sorry for that, this is the default system and there are no plans to change it at this time.
Bad for you.
It is a negative point.
I solve it sticking a toothpick in the Fn key.
Do you think this is the right solution?
I am a developer and I know this is not very hard to achieve. If you do not solve it is because you do not want to.
I will discourage other people to buy Chuwi computer. And I am going to do it right now.
Bad reviews in Amazon to prevent people to buy them
Wow… You don’t like the way the keyboard is programmed and you give bad reviews? The default F keys function isn’t something that many users are looking for. Personally, I do think that the build quality can be better but the F keys are not the deal breaker for me.

lol… if you watch youtube or surf in browser, this is really don’t matter
but if you coding or to do another serious job it’s too painful to use Fn+F key each time!

nice solution!
It is not just the issue with the fn Key.
It is because the (chuwi) do not pay any attention to us.
They do not have a good customer service, and they do whatever they want.
A simply issue that any other computer brands solve easily by BIOS or internal configuration, that honestly, it is not very complicated to solve, the do not do anything.
Did you try to update BIOS?. I can tell you did not.
Try it… Can you find any BIOS update?
They (chuwi) do not have indeed a good customer service.
I Totally agree with you Leow.
That’s my case.
It is almost impossible to work in VSCode.
Yes, indeed. I bought the Herobook Pro as a low-end device for my son’s online primary school work. I do believe a better device will be a better option if it is meant to be used for development work. Herobook Pro is just too underpowered and on hindsight, not a good option when it comes to support. Given that I have been buying from Chinese brands for many years, I tend to give Chinese brands a lot of leeway in customer service and post-sale support. It makes your lives easier to treat the purchases with literally no warranty.
Is this a bad joke? There are dozens of useless options in the BIOS, and isn’t there the one that allows you to switch the default mode of action keys?
Never seen a computer that doesn’t have this option, in 30 years of working with computers …
My interface with windows is TOTAL COMMANDER, I use the function keys CONTINUOUSLY.
