I have a Chuwi Hi12 dual boot tablet with Windows 10 and Android 5.1. Windows automatically updates but the Android O/S is still as originally installed. Is there any way I can update the Android version to something more recent?
The tablet details are CW1520 64bit Hi12 Q64G45170404873
Intel stopped supporting android and there will be no official firmware above 5 android. You can try to install https://www.android-x86.org/ if you really want updates.

I’m also trying to use a more recent Android on my HI12 (Z8350 / dualboot)
I have successfully boot on a USB stick. several ROM (android x86 & bliss).
So far best experience is with bliss v11 / vulkan.
Main draw back is that there is no sound (neither internal speakers nor 3.5mm jack, didn’t try bluetooth or audio USB).
Would any body knows how to make sounds works on these ROMs or a ROM with a sound that already works ?
