Hi. Recently we got twenty of LarkBox S for our company and I just started to get familiar with them.
After a brief testing what seemed to be a neat solution for work now looks like a scam. Why is it so noisy? I wonder what’s the point, the concept, the idea behind a modern mini-pc sounding like it doesn’t have no PWM (it probably doesn’t)? I have to replace old PCs with these. Now what do I do? I’m very sceptical about OS-based software solutions for fan management; BIOS don’t seem to have fan options either. Is this what you call ‘engineering’?
There were the times when we had devices with Intel Atom and without fan. If you put such a hot CPU into a small box, shouldn’t you thought it through a little? Or use a proper cooling system even if the box would get slightly bigger?
Now when it comes to the box. You can put it to VESA, but what bout PSU? Shouldn’t you thought about it too and made some bracketsto put it TOGETHER with the PC, and not separately on a table or something?
Seriously, what do I do with the noisy, being silly white man and all?
