Minibook X N100 - Keyboard backlighting not working anymore

Hello,

I have a Minibook X N100.
The backlighting of the keyboard was unsteady from the start.
Sometimes it worked, sometimes not at all.
A while ago I changed the BIOS setting to always on and afterwards it was working.
Now I have not used the laptop in a while, I started it and the keyboard stays dark. No F5 or Fn+F5 does change it.
I changed back and forth the BIOS setting with restart, no change.
Keyboard stays dark…
Any ideas what I can do?
I bought it in February this year.

I have the same issue. Made my own post. This is mostly to do with the driver / firmware requiring an update, sadly.

Sadly not. The issue persists on my system. Same issue as yours. Special F5 does not control register. I made a post on Reddit looking for help.

I believe this is a user forum.
When a device doesn’t work after you buy it, the only solution is to return it to the seller.
When you have problems, you have to create a support ticket.

We know that support from Chuwi is practically non existent. But, If enough people show up in the forums, sometimes they respond.
