Does anyone know where I can get a current download of the Minibook X N150. I downloaded the driver pack from support.chuwi.com, but I can’t seem to find a BIOS within it. Ideally with an associated BIOS updating tool for the Minibook.
Thank you,
Matt
As an aside, there is a topic for modding the BIOS of an older version of the Minibook X…Has anyone tried it with the latest version? Obviously at your own risk.
I think it’s because the downloads are only for the Windows operating system and drivers.
The BIOS is a more sensitive issue.
You can ask support and let us know.
Does your technical support team also have a unlocked version of the BIOS that they use for testing configurations? The OEM one has most of the options disabled.
I know it is at my own risk, I got this laptop to experiment with, knowing full well I could damage it.
I also have an interest in getting my hands on the developer/unlocked BIOS as well if possible. I’ve got a slightly newer MiniBook X N150, if I’m inferring the SN data correctly. I’ve opened up a case with support as well. I’ll follow up here if I hear back on the support case or forum and let folks know. (Unless I have to do an NDA or something.)
Sorry this took me a long time to follow up on. I did get a hold of support and was able to get a copy of the BIOS for my N150, but I need to figure out how to flash it, (what tools) still currently. Hopefully the tools won’t be windows specific, since I erased the windows install and replaced it with Ubuntu.
As far as I know, you can update the BIOS by copying the files to a USB drive.
They should have given you the steps on how to update.
You can search for information on Google.
Do you have the latest BIOS with the newer boot trust configuration? My Minibook X N150 is not compliant as per Windows 11 Secure Boot and I can’t login my company credentials due to this.
