Hi Folks,
I’ve noticed a jitter/twitch with my touchpad. When I am using the touch pad and I am dragging my finger across to select something and then leave my finger on a spot on the touchpad, I can visibly see the mouse cusor jittering/twitching back and for about 15-20px. I think* the touchpad may be registering additional input from somewhere. I suspect this as the bottom right touchpad, when clicked pushes down and back smoothly, however the bottom left when clicked, has a feeling of resistance/stick, in the sense of it’s almost like it’s catching on something.
Has anyone ran into this before, and do you have any advice? I thought I’d throw this out before trying to open up my Miniboox and disassembly the various layers to get at the touchpad to take a look.

Hi,
I am experiencing the exact same issue with Ubuntu 25.04 with a N150. I didn’t use Windows 11 but didn’t notice any issue with the trackpad there I still have Windows on my drive so I could double check.
An important point though is that this jitter issue is not always there. It stays for a few minutes and then goes away until it comes back. I plan on testing with Ubuntu 24 or maybe other distros to check if the issue is gone. I will report back here when I have time to do so. If you find any solution for this please let me know !
Can you guys write to service@chuwi.com and send a video of what is happening? if two people have the same issue, probably there are more and we need to look into it.

Hi Guys,
I’ve been having the same issue. Mine is also the N150 model. Nothing seems to really help and it goes away eventually but comes back.
I am yet to try on Windows as I went straight to linux. I’ve tried many distros as mentioned above and experienced the issue on all of them so I don’t believe this is distro-specific.
I followed that guide and found it’s not fully flushed out, although it was very helpful. I ended up with some different adjustment values for the hwdb.d entry for the touchpad after doing some measurement and testing. I’m going to run these new values that for a bit and if it works, I’ll put in a request to have the values updated upstream.
If anyone wants to test them, edit the following file and overwirte the entry for Chuw with this
Hi @cossen I’ve only been testing for two days so far, but it seems to be doing pretty well for me so far. I’d reccomend giving it a shot on Ubuntu 25.04, since that is what I’m running as well. (Though to fairly note, I am also testing the experimental setup with hardware backed encryption, since I had the time to tinker with it.
The only thing I’d also recommend you post install, is grab GNOME Tweaks, and also add these to your install.
I will likely attempt as time allows put together a write up of the things I’ve done so far to customize my install, but not making a promise on that yet..
I think Chuwi would REALLY benefit from putting forth some R&D hours to ensure flawless Linux support out of the box for one or two of the main distros, since many people seem to be buying these and immediately dropping linux on em, however I digress and have gotten on a tangent, since this is about Touchpad jitter.
Thank you all for the feedback. I did implement the solution posted by jld ant it was already better. I will try the PlywoodHammer one as well when I have time but these are very promising. Thanks again for your help.
