Are you using a Samsung NVME drive?
What do you mean by crash? Do you mean it powers off, or, does it give you an error?
Hello!
Everytime i try to install windows 10 or 11, i get the error ox800701B1
My NVme drive is adata
Thank you for your kind response
Looking forward for your help
Vlachos Dimitrios
That is directly related to the ADATA Drive. What is the exact model/part number of the ADATA NVME drive? I would like to look up the specs to see if it matches the known issues with the Samsung NVME drives.
Yes, of course dear sir.
My nvme drive is Adata XPG SX8200 Pro SSD 512GB M.2 NVMe
Thank you very much!
I actually have this drive.
It’s 3.3V so same as the Samsung NVME Drives. Unfortunately, it’s not going to work. Drives that will work are under 3.3V. So Western Digital (WD) Blue drives will work for example.
Edit: I tested this and I get the same error. So it’s definitely the drive that incompatible.
But how i am supposed to know which disk is compatible before buying rzbox my dear friend?
Thank you for your kind help
That’s the problem, we don’t and I don’t have an answer for that. I don’t work for CHUWI. There are other posts on here with the same problems and it was mentioned that drives under 3.3V will work. Check the drive documentation for the next drive you buy and make sure it’s under 3.3V. My Wester Digital Blue 1TB drives work fine.
Thank you very much.
Is it possible to connect an ssd drive 2.5? I ask so because i have already one and i want to avoid to buy another nvme.
You can via a USB enclosure.
You can via a USB enclosure… assuming you want 1/6th the speed. I purchased Intel 670p drives which do not work in the RZBox. I put them in enclosures. I get 420 MB/s according the CrystalDiskMark 8 using the USB 3.0 jacks in the back of the RZBox. The internal Kingston drive gives me 2500+ MB/s using the same test parameters.
Also be aware of the USB-C socket. I assumed that it was USB-C version 2.0 per the markings on the website, NOT a USB-C that was using a USB 2.0 speed. That gives me 40 MB/s on the Intel SSDs in an external case, same as the USB 2.0 jacks on the back of the unit.
After reading about the heat sink issues, the SSD issues and finding a USB-C jack running USB 2.0 speeds, I’m a little disappointed in the RZBox.
