About NVME M.2. SPEC

Hi guys,

What is the PCIe spec of MiniBook’s NVME? I installed a PCIe x3 NVME SSD.
CrystalMark test results limited the speed to 1,000MB/sec. If I installed it in my computer, it can transfer over 2,000MB/sec. It looks like support only PCIe x1. Does it right?

Thanks,
KIM

You can check supported version in aida64 or cpuz, but it can be hardware downgraded to x2,x1.

But it’s fast.
Please refer to the picture.
emmc, micro sd card, sata m.2 ssd from above

Thanks,

I tried to get the information of M.2 Interface used by CrystalDiskInfo. It was working on PCIe 3.0 1x. I do not understand why it working 3.0 1x…

Dear friend,

I already knew that eMMC of MiniBook has not too bad when I using it for general jobs. I installed NVME SSD in my MiniBook for storage performance improvement. But I got very disappointing results.

According to your attached images, it looks like M.2 is installed SATA SSD. The maximum transfer performance is only 550MB/sec. It is different.

KIM

Maybe x2 is used for something else or not used at all, and x1 is the only PCIe implemented on this board. :man_shrugging:

OMG … I hope CHUWI will fix its PCIe problem(?) with something like a BIOS update(or driver update). If they will can …
