hi, today I had a problem with my Aerobook. after turning it on it worked for a few minutes and suddenly shut down. I tried to turn it back on but after a few seconds (black screen with chuwi logo) it turns off again. I noticed that if it is connected to the power supply it does not turn on at all.
have any of you had the same problem? how did he solve it?
Hi, exactly the same happened to me. Now I can only see the Chuwi logo for 2 seconds and it turn off again. I took the laptop to be repaired and the technician told me that this is a problem of the Motherboard, and as the hard drive is in the Motherboard, I lost everything what I have in there. This is very upsetting as I contacted Chuwi and they basically told me to buy a new laptop as they don’t do Aerobooks any longer. This laptop lasted me for 2 years and 5 months
just check if the ssd is removable. If it’s M.2 SSD then you should be able to remove it from the M.2 socket on the motherboard. I do not know much about this model so just guessing.
If you can remove it, then there are M.2 external cases (Check if it’s SATA or NVMe) that you can separately buy and connect it to another PC with USB port to get back your data.
My Sony Vaio lasted 10 years. My Asus X200 MA lasted 5 years. Acer B117MP still works after 5 years. HP 245 still works after 4 years. There’s definately something good in these known International brands and hence they are expensive than Chuwi products.
