I recently bought a Corebook i5-12450H laptop. The first time I turned it on, the battery was around 70%. I was using it on battery mode when it suddenly shut down at 40%.
I connected it to the charger while it was off and waited for 4 hours for the charging light to turn green, but it didn’t. I then turned it on while it was still connected to the charger, and it showed 100% battery. Then I looked at the charging light and saw that it had turned green.
Again, I used the laptop on battery mode, and I think it lasted about 3 hours until the charge dropped close to zero. I connected it to the charger while it was off and checked again after 4 hours. The light was still red. I turned on the laptop and saw that it was charged to 83%, and it wouldn’t go any higher. I unplugged and replugged the charger, and it went up to 91%. I repeated this process and managed to get it to 93%, and after several tries, it finally reached 96%.
The same issue persists in subsequent charges—the laptop won’t charge to 100% in one go. It only charges up to approximately about 80%, and then by unplugging and reconnecting the charger multiple times, I can eventually bring it up to 96%.
What is the problem, and how can I fix it?
Thank you
