Cannot start or Install Windows 10 on Chuwi HeroBox

After months without using my Herbox, Windows cannot start.

Chuwi first screen is there and computer is restarted and appearing this:

EFI Shell version 2.70 [5.13]
Current running mode 1.1.2
map: Cannot find required map name error

I have downloaded OS from Chuwi site and saved it on a USB. I can start with USB but when I try to install Windows I have a message saying “windows couldn’t format a partition on disk 0”. I have seen that I have to delete the partition to solve it but when I try to delete it I get a message saying " Error 0x8007045d “Failed to delete the selected partition.”.

So I cannot start Windows, Cannot delete partition, cannot format it and cannot install Windows.

Maybe insternal disk is damaged. It will be frustrating as I have used this HeroBox 3 or 4 times from 2020… and last time I used it was working perfectly. I saved it in its box and It was in a drawer…

Any idea of how to solve it?

You could attempt to repair the drive using a Free Linux based partition manager which you download and install on a USB. (https://gparted.org/livecd.php). I have repaired drives using this. Once booted up you can repair the drive and then create a windows partition. Just install the live CD/USB and read the instruction and/or Google how to use.

i think you also wrote to us in support forum. The Disk is damaged-

Hi,

If the disk is damaged is because it is a bad component. This herobox was working fine last time I used it. I put in in its box and now, after more than one year later without using it, it fails.

I have used it 5 or 6 times as maximum…

This is my first and last Chuwi.

Chuwi os download gave me the same issue, grab a normal windows iso (from Microsoft)
