Gemibook X Pro N100 Does not Charge
Serial number JGeBXPCY2H230701697
Bought from laptopfactory.com.ph
Connecting it on the outlet. it does indicates its charging the light indicator lights up and the charge indicator on the screen does so but it doesn’t put any charge nonetheless it’s the exact opposite it takes the percentage slowly of my battery
Sounds like a battery issue. There’s two options:
- the laptop battery is near death and you should replace it or send it to Chuwi, or
- the battery power charge level sensor got all drunk and it needs to be recallibrated which can be done by just leaving the laptop to charge overnight and booting it the next day pluged in and fully charged and unpluging it after it has booted fully.
If its not one of those something else is failing (power delivery or charger), again need to be replaced or if it’s power delivery and you don’t know how to microsolder, send the laptop to the repair shop or Chuwi.
The charger is fine it output 12v 3a upon testing
And the power delivery not so sure it does output 7.7v but for some reason it doesn’t pass through the battery
First contact the shop to see if its new you could replace.
If not please send a video of the problem, from when you connect and it shows on the screen charging or not:, maybe i can ask tech
Do traces all look fine? Could you confirm there is connection between Ground on battery and Grond on the charging plug?
How do I send a video
I had this laptop for 11months now
It happened when the battery got so drained
And does the charger output the correct voltage and wattage? (if you can’t check wattage just voltage is fine)
Yes it does it got 12v and 3a
In that case its probably power delivery that gave up. It could still be some things like battery sensors and stuff, but if you have warranty just send it back since its not worth the money and time. (imo at least, you do you)
Here’s the video of it charging
You need to send to repair, probably its hardware. Contact the shop and tell your problem first.
i took it to a rapair shop they said the power delivery is fine and the battery is the one at fault why it doesn’t charge properly
And well I’ve decide to check the battery so I made some incision to reveal the BMS on the battery and the battery cells had different charge on them the other cell has an voltage of 3.87V and the other got an 3.84V
I’d say voltages are within margin of error, so BMS is fried, that is if cells and connector look fine.
So hey congrats on finding a problem.
Now the problem is where do I find a battery replacement I can’t seem to find an exact model of the battery online
