Chuwi minibook x Ubuntu

Hi, I’ve been seeing many things flow around. Just wanted to know if everything works for Ubuntu out of box. If not, (I think screen rotation is something that doesn’t), then what are the steps to fix the issues? Thanks yall!

Since October 2024 Kubuntu 24.10 is running on my Minibook X N100. Everything works out of the box, but screen rotation. There are people who seem to have that fixed.

I’m not a big fan of the Ubuntu Desktop. I prefer KDE which supports fractional screen scaling very well. I use a scale of 125%.

A big advantage with Linux is the community provided driver updates.

I’ve just got a MiniBook X N150 and set it up to dual boot the Windows installation and KUbuntu 25.04. As far as I can tell, everything seems to work apart from screen rotation (probably the orientation sensor, though I’ve not checked). It’s fairly easy to set the screen rotation in KDE, thought the SDDM login screen needs a bit of work and AFAIK it’s impossible to get the GRUB screen to be rotated.
