Corebook X 12450h variant , wifi speed fluctuations

Lately corebook x has a problem with fluctuating speeds. It has a intel ax101 module. The problem is definently something with the laptop because every other device is working properly. Some users say that the problem is the wifi module that overheats and throttles the speeds. The problem is that the module is soldered. Do you have any suggestions about the problem? Has anyone the same problems?

Laptop is chuwi corebook x cwi570 i5-12450h. I bought it from chuwi eu store in April 2025.

To determine the problem with your computer, it needs to be examined.
It’s possible that what others say isn’t the same as what’s wrong with your computer.

Obviously. I troubleshoot my own computers for over 30+ years. The matter needs farther investigation. Up until know I can say that it is a software (driver, windows update) or a hardware problem( loose cables, problematic ax101?) . Antenna cables seem to be ok. The laptop is 99% of the time acts as a desktop PC and the lid is constantly open. I wrote in the forum because AI suggested that many users encounter wifi module problems. I am trying to see if others have come with a solution. Buying a laptop that possibly starts to brake apart after 1 and a half year is not pleasant for the customer.

The AI made a mistake: you should contact customer service; we’re all users here.

Of course, technical support is an option. However, forums serve the purpose of sharing solutions that official support often ignores or takes time to identify. My question remains technical: has anyone else experienced disconnections or instability with this specific network card (AX101) in this chassis?

UPDATE: After a thorough isolation test, the root cause has been identified. I disabled the internal Intel AX101 and connected a USB Wi-Fi dongle. Instantly, all metrics (ping, jitter, and speeds) returned to flawless performance. Having tested every available driver version and windows power management tweak, this solidifies my initial suspicion: it is a hardware-related failure (either a defective on-board AX101 chip, a cold solder or an issue with the internal antenna/conduits). The community forum exists exactly for this reason: to diagnose hardware issues before reaching out to an often slow OEM customer service. The laptop is just 1.5 years old, and a hardware failure on the wireless module this early is definitely a quality control issue on Chuwi’s part.

From my point of view:

To diagnose hardware problems, you need to examine the device: WHICH is what you’ve done.

I think the forum is more for software problems and SUGGEST what the fault might be.

Update: After antenna contact cleaning with isopropyl , no luck. After antenna swapping (to eliminate cable problems), no luck. I think I have narrowed it down to either a soldering problem (Thermal/Soldering degradation) due to its close proximity to the CPU, or a Wi-Fi module problem.
